*Beauty of Darkness* (Remnant Chronicles #3) by Mary E. Pearson

Here we are again. Another amazing trilogy concluded. I find it rare that I enjoy all three books in a trilogy as well as the conclusion itself but the Remnant Chronicles proved worthy.

The covers throughout this entire series have been amazing, but the third and final cover has probably been my favorite. I mean, just look at this!

1. Characters: I adored the characters all the way throughout this series! The main character never annoyed me or made choices that I couldn't understand. She continually had tough decisions to make and I feel that she was incredibly strong and mature compared to other protagonists in similar series. The secondary and side characters continued to grow and develop and I enjoyed getting to know them all more as well. I'm sad to say good-bye!!

2. Story: Where do I even begin? I love everything about this story! It's not the cliche magic, one-girl-saves-everyone type thing. Have ya'll read the Lunar Chronicles? You know how the story is woven between the characters and they each bring something to the table resulting in a team effort? Although this does not alternate between every single POV, everyone has their own strength and their own role and I really like that. The story was easy to follow, but also kept me guessing- a combination that is not often nailed in YA literature, let alone YA fantasy.

3. Author's Writing Style: More. More. I want more. Mary E. Pearson confirmed that a two-book deal has been laid out to continue the adventures in the world of the Remnant Chronicles- following new characters of course. The first, Dance of Thieves, is set to be released next summer- 2018. Yay!! Yes, I will absolutely continue reading other works from this author. Her writing was perfection in my opinion. I believe I said it in a previous review for one of her other books in this series, but yes, it feels like she writes just for me.

4. Overall Rating: 5 Stars. Every star ever available. I give this book and this entire series 5 stars because I cannot think of a single complaint (except that I yearn for more of course).

5. Similar reading: Check out these other series that remind me of the Remnant Chronicles! Click the covers to visit their Goodreads pages and add them to your tbr!

BOOK TOUR!! Steal Away Home by Billy Coffey

It's time!! I am honored to be a part of TLC's book tour for Steal Away Home by Billy Coffey. Published by Thomas Nelson, Steal Away Home is a newly released work of Christian fiction that is told through the eyes of minor league baseball player Owen Cross. As Owen is offered his first big time shot, he reflects back on the journey that led him there. I can truly say several things about this book: The language used and writing style overall is breathtaking. It's poetic. The characters are well-developed and dynamic. The story unfolds in a way that creates tension and mystery. By the end of Steal Away Home , I was dying to see how the flashbacks of Owen's life leading up to the big game would connect to his present state and how far the story would go beyond the game.  Did I mention the cover? ๐Ÿ˜ Take a look again, and click the image below to read the full synopsis on Goodreads! Don't forget to add it to your to-read shelf. Steal Away ...

Monday Madness!

Ahoy there! ๐Ÿ’ฆ (No idea why I felt like greeting you that way... But I did.) I just had to gush on two particular things today: 1. My Shelfie 2. My Shop Item #1 on the agenda: The shelfie I posted yesterday! Click the image to visit my bookstagram! I gotta admit.. I really  like the way my shelves look right now. Unfortunately, in order to showcase some of my favorite covers of the moment, I had to hide about half of my books behind  other books. Which is kind of fun because next time I rearrange my bookcase and take them all out, I will have undoubtedly forgotten about many of them and it'll be like re-discovering lost treasure. ๐Ÿ˜‚However, it also means I simple don't get to enjoy the visibility of about half my books. ๐Ÿ˜” Sad times. At this point, nearly every single little cubby has books behind books. So, I mean, I can't just keep doing that forever. Eventually, I will need to get a new bookshelf to add to my bookcase. The problem is, I really want a whi...
